When I was doing a Knifemaker tip video fro Instagram about how I drill my handle scales, everyone seemed very interested in the pins that I used when I drilled the handle sets. Since some people have already purchased dowel pins or have other pin stock, I am offering the Pin Caps for sale by themselves.
Pack come in packs of 30 total caps. Breakdown of sizes below.
- 10 – Ø1/4 inch
- 10 – Ø3/16 inch
- 10 – Ø1/8 inch
The the caps have grooves in the outside diameter that serve 2 purposes, it helps to have more grip and help the pins to not roll on the workbench as much. I love these new caps so much I have replaced all of mine in my workshop from how I use to have G10 and Micarta tubes epoxied onto the pins. The caps are 3D printed in PLA and should be plenty durable for this application in the workshop. Pins caps are 1/2″ long vary in diameter for the pins. These are made to be used with dowel pins that are 1.5″ long.
