This is the dust collector I currently own. If I was doing it again, I would get a higher flow rate motor.
Replacing the felt bag on my dust collector was one of the best decisions I have made to help keep the shop cleaner. This unit mounts to any 4″ dust collector under 650 CFM and works great. There is a beater bar inside that helps knock the compacted dust off the paper filter.
Using flexible 4″ hosing like this is the easiest way to get suction to your machine.
I have the JET AFS-1000b system and it is great, but they don’t make that model anymore. The new model is very nice and has many great features, but is way more expensive these days. I know many makers who have this passive system and love it. My suggestion is to save a few bucks and get this one.
This cyclone is the one I use in my system. It is so great at removing most of the dust before it gets to the filter. This greatly increases the time between cleanings and also flows more air longer. I have mine mounted to a metal barrel which makes the mount a little more rigid.
It seems like it is getting harder to find metal dust pans these days. I love this one!
Just like metal dust pans, a quality hand brush is hard to find these days too. This one is excellent for wiping the workbench when I don’t want too use compressed air.
